Spliced+ should feel like a fair exchange. If you change your mind in the first 14 days and have not really used it, you get your money back.
After that, cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again — but we do not refund time you have already bought.
Where you bought it decides who refunds it, and that is the part people get stuck on, so it is Section 1.
Spliced+ is sold in three places, and the refund goes back through whichever one you used.
Grayfin Labs Inc. is the seller and merchant of record. Stripe processes the payment, but the sale, the tax and the refund are ours. Your receipt comes from Grayfin Labs Inc. via Stripe, and refund requests come to us at support@wespliced.com.
Apple is the seller of record, and only Apple can refund it — we genuinely cannot do it for you, however much we would like to. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides under its own policies.
Google is the seller of record. For roughly the first 48 hours Google handles refunds directly through your Google Play account. After that Google will usually point you back to us — and unlike Apple, we can issue a Google Play refund, so email us and we will.
A refund approved by Apple or Google ends your Spliced+ access straight away.
Not sure which one you used? Email us and we will find out for you.
This section describes purchases made on our website. For an App Store or Google Play purchase, the store's own policy applies first — see Section 1.
Your first 14 days
You have 14 calendar days from your first Spliced+ purchase, monthly or annual, to ask for a full refund.
Renewals
Once a subscription renews, that period is generally not refundable. You can cancel to stop the next one.
Annual renewals in the UK
We give UK subscribers on an annual plan a fresh 14 days at each renewal. That is our own policy rather than a summary of UK law, and we will keep it whether or not the law requires it.
If you used a promo code
Your refund is for the amount you actually paid, not the full price.
Again, this is about website purchases. Even inside the 14 days, a refund may not apply if:
Doing any of these means you have had the thing you paid for:
This exists to stop people subscribing, taking everything Plus offers, and then asking for the money back. The free parts of Spliced — your ordinary one-to-one Splices — do not count.
This is our policy, not a way around the law. If you have a statutory right to withdraw, using a feature does not cancel it; see Section 7.
We may decline where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse — the same account cycling through subscribe-and-refund, or several accounts doing it together.
After 14 days it is at our discretion. Ask anyway if something went wrong — we would rather hear about it.
Email support@wespliced.com from, or mentioning, the address on your account, and tell us roughly when you bought it. We will check it against this policy and, if it is approved, send it back to the card you paid with.
Your bank usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show it. That part is out of our hands.
For an App Store purchase, go to Apple instead — we cannot process those at all.
These get confused constantly, and the difference costs people money.
Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep Spliced+ until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to a free account. No money comes back. Do it from Manage Subscription in your account, or through your Apple ID or Google Play account if you bought it there.
A refund returns money you have already paid, under the rules above. Ask us — Section 4. An approved full refund ends your subscription and your Spliced+ access immediately. You do not need to do both.
We do not refund part of a period
Cancel halfway through a month and you keep Spliced+ for the rest of it. We do not refund the half you did not use.
If you are about to delete your account
Ask for the refund first. Deleting is immediate and permanent, and a refund is easier to sort out while we can still see the account it belongs to. Deleting cancels a subscription you bought from us on the web. It does not cancel one bought in the App Store or Google Play — cancel that in the store first, or it carries on charging you after the account is gone.
If something looks wrong on your bill, please email us before you call your bank. We can almost always fix it faster, and a chargeback is slow and expensive for everyone including you.
A chargeback cancels your subscription straight away, so nothing more is charged, and you drop to a free account. You will be able to subscribe again once the dispute is resolved in our favour. A second chargeback suspends the account. Repeated chargebacks, or clear fraud, mean the account stays suspended.
One thing to know before you start one: a suspended account is deleted permanently after 90 days, with a warning at 60.
Nothing here takes away a right consumer law gives you. Where the law where you live is more generous than this policy, the law is what applies, and we will honour it without arguing.
You have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Our own 14-day window is meant to cover it, and it applies whether or not you have used anything.
Two details worth knowing. Because subscribing asks us to start immediately, we may keep a proportionate amount for the part you actually used before withdrawing. And where you expressly agreed to immediate access to digital content and acknowledged that it ends the withdrawal right, that right can end once we have delivered it.
Quebec's Consumer Protection Act applies to your purchase and gives you rights this policy cannot reduce. (Law 25, which you may have seen mentioned elsewhere, is Quebec's privacy legislation — different statute, and it is covered in our Privacy Policy.)
Canadian provincial consumer legislation, Australian Consumer Law, US state law and others may give you rights beyond this policy. If yours does, it wins.
